Why The Buffalo For A Symbol?
Often times in life, we try to run away from the storms that come. We usually end up running along side them, spending more time in the pain and frustration of these difficult moments.
However, the Buffalo wait for storms to appear on the horizon, then turn and face directly into the storm. They stand strong with courage as the storm passes over them, feeling each emotion and staying present until it passes.
Courage to BE Yoga Studio is a place of learning, self discovery and healing. As we face the storms of life together, we learn to have the courage to BE, regardless of the situation.
Meet Jackie: Courage to BE Yoga Studio Owner
Jackie transformed her basement into a serene and beautiful space to share and practice her passion for yoga, which has enabled her to heal and grow through life’s challenges.
Jackie is trained in yoga and has practiced it on and off for ten years. After suffering through anxiety and depression she began searching for growth though mindfulness.
About 2 years ago, she combined yoga with her love of mindfulness and figured out how to have the “COURAGE TO BE”. Now she loves sharing it with others through her workshops.
“When you come to the edge of all the light you know and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, [courage] is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.”

I am a wife and the mother of three amazing children, one of which has been battling cancer.
The trial of cancer does not define me, however, because of it, I am learning to embrace adversity. through this blog I’m capturing that journey. – Jackie
